As the world comes out of the COVID-19 pandemic, many have developed a newfound awareness and respect for just how fragile life can be — and how easily cut short. As an estate planning practitioner, I regularly advise people on end of life preparations. From the drafting of a will or trust, to preparing a healthcare proxy, to obtaining the appropriate financial vehicles to provide for the family after a loved one has passed. Since none of us can know when tragedy or sudden illness might strike, it is important to have a good estate plan in place.
